Scion Lodge No 4794 reaches 100 years

On Thursday 9th April, Scion Lodge held their regular meeting, the first meeting after passing the 100 years mark.
At the meeting, they were pleased to welcome W Bro Tim Spriggs MetGI, escorted by W Bro Andrew Caddies, as an official visitor, who also presented Bro Sola Ige (IG) with his Grand Lodge Certificate.
The main item of business was to receive a lecture on the First Degree by Bro Tom Barton (SD), regarding his thoughts on the ceremony.
Everyone present was able to make a daily advancement in their Masonic knowledge. There was also discussion of the Lodge’s centenary celebrations, which will take place next year. Scion has adopted an unofficial motto of ‘small but perfectly formed’; they are looking forward to their second century of existence, where they hope to become a strong Lodge once again.
