ROIL Racers Complete Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge for RMBI Care Co

Members of Rangoon and Ormond-Iles Lodge No 1268 have gone the extra mile – quite literally – in support of the RMBI Care Co.
On 2 May 2026, W Bros Alex Holton, Emmanuel ‘JoJo’ De Gala Florendo and Ian Cameron – affectionally termed the ‘ROIL Racers’ – undertook the gruelling 25km section of the renowned Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge, a coastal route widely recognised for its steep climbs, uneven terrain and relentless conditions. Determined to raise both awareness and funds for the RMBI Care Co., the trio pushed through the course and successfully completed the challenge.
Their efforts inspired generous support from friends, family and fellow members, allowing them not only to meet but surpass their fundraising goal. By the finish line, the team had raised an impressive £1,278.00 for the charity.
To mark the achievement, a cheque was formally presented on behalf of the Lodge to Right Worshipful Brother John Boyington, Chair of the Trustees of the RMBI Care Co., during a regular meeting of the Lodge held on Saturday 16th May.
The accomplishment stands as a testament to the dedication and charitable spirit of the Lodge members, whose efforts will help support the vital work carried out by the RMBI Care Co. across the Masonic community.
